Phil Matthews is well known on the airwaves in Kenya. Coming to Kenya in 1996 to head the Capital F.M. project, the first commercial radio station. He was also the voice of Breakfast for the first five years. Acknowledged as Kenya’s leading trainer and programmer, he has been responsible for setting up some of East Africa's leading radio stations, Capital F.M.,Easy F.M.,Radio Salaam and KFM in Uganda. In turn Phil has been instrumental in the development of many of Kenya’s radio personalities, some of whom have gone on to build international careers. With over 20 years experience in all areas of programming, presentation, news and management.

Phil has international experience having worked for many major broadcast organisations in the U.K. (B.B.C., Metro FM and Century Radio), Dubai, New Zealand and East Africa. Phil has reported for N.B.C. news across the U.S. during the Iran Iraq war, presented his highly popular mid morning show on Great North Radio, live from Disney World and programmed five stations in New Zealand, simultaneously, for the worlds largest radio organization, The Radio Network, part of the global giant Clear Channel. Simon Rushton has worked in Commercial Radio as a writer, producer and trainer for over 18 years.

Simon has worked for the BBC World Service, Metro Radio, Century Radio, Signal Radio, EMAP, GWR (now GCap) as Group Creative Special Projects Manager and UTV Radio as North West Creative Manager. As well as writing and directing Simon has also offered training and consultancy and ran a number of training events and client seminars.

Simon is also one of just a hand full of copywriters in the world who has gained recognised qualifications in Radio Copywriting and Management. Those qualifications include:- MRM - Manager of Radio Marketing Diploma; RMP - Radio Marketing Professional Diploma; CRMC - RAB (USA) Certified Radio Marketing Consultant Diploma; CRC – RMB (Canada) Certified Radio Copywriter; CPCC –RAB (USA) Certified Professional Commercial Copywriter.

As well as winning numerous awards, Simon is a Judge in the UK Vox Awards, awards which are fast becoming the leading Creative Advertising Awards for the UK Radio Advertising Industry.
